The laptop mode or mobile operation is used for recording data without a connection to the central database. In this mode, the projects and their associated report collections needed for logging are first transferred to a locally stored database.
After the transfer, these projects are considered checked out in the central database. Checked-out projects are write-protected in the central database, and their data remains at the state of the checkout.
A list of checked-out projects can be found in the "Laptop & Mobile" section (1)

If data loss occurs — for example, if a notebook is lost — the write protection in the central database can be lifted (2).
Caution! Any offline changes made in the meantime will be lost.
Whether a project is in stationary or mobile mode is also indicated directly in the meeting report in the blue status bar (3)
