To change the report item number of an already created report item, navigate to the corresponding report in the Project Explorer. Right-click on the report where the report item was created and select the option "Edit Report Item Number" (1).

In the "Change Report Item Number" window that opens, you can adjust the report item number as needed.

This window displays all report items created in the selected report. You have the option to adjust the number of a report item, for example, from 003.006 to 003.008.
